pho3nix, open mic, adam temple

i'm amazed at Phoenix's EP "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix" is. i haven't liked so many songs from one album in such a long time, it's refreshing to finally find a new band that i really really really enjoy. i've had "Girlfriend" on repeat for days. so, happy.

Trinity's last open mic night is next Friday. i finally tabbed out the rest of "Kids" by MGMT but covered by The Kooks. the solo took furrrevaarrrrr -___- but it sounds really good and i can shine ;). THEN we're gonna play "Poker Face" by The Gaga. hahahahah acoustic version is so weird compared to the techno-synth of the original. we were planning on doing "Naughty Girl" by Beysus hahahaha but i definitely would not have been able to keep it together with chloe singing that.

dad's here so i'm gonna show him around slo which means i won't be able to go to the Billy Madison day party/Dan's bday :( but whatever, it's good for me because i should probably stop drinking sfm.

also, i would like to note one of the best undiscovered musicians i've ever seen on YouTube: Adam Temple. he does covers of songs like "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver, "Intervention" by the Arcade Fire (fucking brilliant), some death cab, bright eyes, and some originals. here are my favorites of him:

Skinny Love

Intervention

and his own "Somewhere in a Synapse"

good luck and meow.
